Camp Ready for Middle School
This class is designed to help students make a successful transition into middle school, both academically and socially.
Students learn study skills with an emphasis on time management, organization, self-advocacy, test preparation, and problem-solving. Discussion and activities addressing the social and emotional transition to middle school are also a focus — and an opportunity for fun!

KPS students registration only until July 1. After July 1, opens up to outside students.
This 4-day course is designed to provide students with practical knowledge, helpful tools, and skills to foster a smooth transition into middle school, both academically and socially. Some of the things students can look forward to are learning study skills with an emphasis on organization, test preparation and problem-solving; practicing self-advocacy; time management in the wake of increased freedom of the middle school, and much more. Discussion and activities addressing the social and emotional transition to middle school will also be included. By the end of our time together, students will be more confident and feel more prepared for a strong start to middle school.
